]]> My mother in law gave me used baby clothes as a gift at my baby shower (Both of them). I was offended then but didn’t say anything because my husband is a passive person and just thought we should let it go. Even though the clothes she gave us were obviously worn and not just slightly either. Well then she did it again for Christmas. She gave her first and only grandson (my baby) used clothing and books. And to top that off she even has one of my son’s uncle’s giving him used clothes also. My mother in law is not hurting for cash at all, and don’t get me wrong I don’t mind used clothing, I just don’t think they should be given as gifts! Wrapped and everything! I’m really offended. She gets all offensive if you say anything to her (her favorite comment is "nothing I do is good enough" But this is her first and only grandchild, I just think she would like for him to have new things also. Someone help me! I need to say something to her and I need to know what is the best way to approach this situation!

]]> My one-year-old has seemed to hate getting diaper and clothing changes since birth. It makes us both hate having to change him. Does anyone have tips? We dread changes now; it feels like a battle. Otherwise, we have a good time and a very close relationship since I am his only parent. Unfortunately, though, it also means that I don’t have support, emotional or otherwise. It’s all the more frustrating because it’s such a simple, common thing that HAS to be done, and doesn’t even have to take that long (though it does ’cause of the wrestling… he literaly won’t be still the whole time. I’ve really had to practice patience.).
I appreciate your help and good ideas!
