Husband and wife arguing about baby's nail! Who's right?
So my husband can be a clean freak at times, (only when it’s convenient to him) Anyways. I just got done cleaning our place and giving my 5 month baby a bath and I decided to cut his lil nails.
Well, my hubby walked into the room in the middle of me cutting his nails and he said: "Where are you throwing the nails that you’re cutting off? and I said, what the heck do I know, they’re landing wherever they’re landing, I guess on the floor?"
and can you believe that he said "OMG that’s awful, why don’t you put the garbage can by you and throw them in the garbage?"
I was like, WHAT? First of all, Have you even cut the baby’s nails? his nails are not like OUR nails, I can’t barely see them to cut them, never-less picking them up from the floor, not to mention, is hard enough for me to cut his nails as it is, do you think I have time to pick each one up?? What’s the vacuum cleaner for?
and he went off talking about that attracting dust-mites, anyways. I went off at him to for being so crazy and now he’s mad at me? I’m ignoring him!
We have a dog for God’s sake, I think whatever dandruff the dog brings in is worse than a tiny lil baby nail? He probably had a bad day.
Anyhow should I apologize? or do you think he should apologize to me? We barely fight, but I think this time I’m right…
He’s a good guy and I’m thinking about apologizing first, but I don’t think this time I have to…
HAHAHA THATS what I thought! I understand he helps with the cleaning, but i dont think a lil nail could do any harm!!

I’m not trying to make excuses for him but he really helps out a lot around the house, but I think that the nail thing was a bit too much. He’s never mean, but he truly made me mad and I wanted to make sure I wasnt over-reacting, but I’m glad to know it wasnt me.

I think you are right. I can see big people nails being gross, but a little baby’s nail is nothing. I could see you pick them up if you can see them. I don’t think it’s a big deal though. I believe the dog has a lot more "stuff" to worry about as far as hygiene goes. Dog’s drag their dirty behinds on your carpet and they carry flies (I don’t care how clean they are) they all carry them from time to time. But it’s okay because no environment is 100% clean. Unless he lives in a plastic bubble, he will have "dust mites" and other critters all over. Actually, it’s good to have a little dirt, it helps build the immune system. Since you are right, you don’t need to apologize but if I were you, I would let it go and make up with your hubby. He probably had a bad day and he’s probably stressing about something else. Just go to him and give him a big kiss and tell him you love him.
