I have a baby who fusses and fights at most each and every diaper and clothing change. Any ideas to help?
My one-year-old has seemed to hate getting diaper and clothing changes since birth. It makes us both hate having to change him. Does anyone have tips? We dread changes now; it feels like a battle. Otherwise, we have a good time and a very close relationship since I am his only parent. Unfortunately, though, it also means that I don’t have support, emotional or otherwise. It’s all the more frustrating because it’s such a simple, common thing that HAS to be done, and doesn’t even have to take that long (though it does ’cause of the wrestling… he literaly won’t be still the whole time. I’ve really had to practice patience.).
I appreciate your help and good ideas!

Give him a toy just before changing his diaper.
Kiss his tummy or blow raspberries on it to make a funny noise. He’ll love it and look forward to it next time.
