My friend wants me to drive a 2 year old in my car but i dont think i should?
My friend is babysitting a 2 year old for a friend of hers and when the baby was dropped off this morning the mom forgot diapers and toys for the baby, so my friend asked me if I could drive her over to the moms house so she can get all the things she needs for her. I really have no problem driving over to the house, but we have to take the baby with us. Im almost positive she doesnt have a car seat, and that if we got into a car accident my insurance wouldnt cover her. Its also I dont want that on my conscience if we get into an accident and she wasnt in a car seat and she got hurt. I would never live it down.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention Im only 17. And I forgot to ask if I was just overreacting

You seem like a very responsible person, and I don’t think you’re overreacting. I can’t drive yet, but if I was in your situation, I’d be worried about an accident, too.
Also, if I were you, instead of driving back to the house, I’d leave the two-year-old with it’s babysitter and go to the store to pick up some diapers and stuff. (if you have some money on hand). Or you could watch the kid while your friend got the stuff.
And as far as toys go, babies and toddlers don’t need much for entertainment, but you could buy some toys if you want. They could play with just about anything, from a (preferably partially deflated) basketball to wrapping paper. Just make sure there wouldn’t be anything that could harm or choke the baby, like a poisonous substance, sharp edges, something that could bounce and hit them in the face, or small parts. And if it could fit in your mouth, it can probably fit into theirs.
