My daughter always choked when she was little so it wasn't safe for me to have her strapped in because it made it harder to get her back out quickly. If she were to try and climb out now I would use them but the seat has a bar between the legs so I don't think she would be able to climb out anyways. I’ve never used the seatbelt in the highchair.
